Competition Vendors: Enhance Your Brand Visibility with Promotional Canopies

By Sandra Christian on January 6, 2020

When you are at a competition as a vendor, your main goal is probably to stand out to the audience and gain new clients. But how do you do that with so many other businesses and their promotional canopies literally right next to you? Don’t worry! We've compiled a list of the best ways to be bold and attract your audience at that next competition. (And don't forget to grab one of our custom tents for events!)

Use Bold Colors

You need to be #BeBoldStandOut. When you choose bold colors it helps to set you and your business apart from those around you. The audience’s eye is drawn to your booth, and they are much more likely to engage with your products or services.

Of course, when you go to choose colors, you want to make sure they really resonate with your branding. If you haven’t had the chance to put your colors together, you might want to consider researching the psychology of colors. For example, when you know that using a bold red makes your potential client feel excitement, or that a bold purple emits creative feelings, you can design your branding according to the feelings you want your ideal customer to have.

Once you've chosen your colors, you'll want to make sure everything from your promotional canopy to your advertisement flag reflects that branding!

Note: There are exceptions to the use of bright colors. For example, if you are part of the wedding industry, your choices might include more neutral and pastel colors. Whatever you choose, remain true to what you know will sell.

Do Something Different

Another way to be bold with your next competition vendor booth is to create something daring. Whether it be an object that towers over the other booths around your or a controversial message, you’ll have the opportunity to gain attention from potential clients and be memorable long after the event is over. If you are looking for height, our custom flags are the way to go! Not only are they easy to set up, but they’ll allow your ideal clients to identify your booth from a distance.

If you do choose to use a controversial or funny message as an attention-getter, you may even want to add it to that advertisement flag or promotional canopy as well. After all, you want attendees to say #IRememberYou.

Collaborate with Other Vendors

Another way to #IncreaseYourReach is to collaborate with your fellow vendors. While this may not come to you naturally as a way to #BeBoldStandOut, working together with another company can actually help you to gain more customers.

For example, let’s say you are in the health and wellness industry and your main product is a protein drink. You research your competitors who will also be at the health and wellness competition and find a company that creates at-home workouts. If you were to reach out to them and collaborate on a booth presentation, think of all the new customers that would be attracted to your combined display. The at-home workout audience may not be aware of your protein drink, but it might complement the workouts nicely and vice versa.

When it comes to being bold and memorable with your display, thinking outside the box and partnering with others in related industries might be just the ticket. Who might you partner with at your next event?

Increase Engagement

Another way to be bold with your next competition vendor booth involves taking your booth outside of the booth. Let me explain. You can increase your reach by having your employees walk through the arena wearing your logo and giving out free samples of your product. The key is that your employees are wearing your brand colors and logo so that when your ideal customer eventually sees your booth, they will immediately put two and two together. They’ll remember your friendly employee, and the sample they offered, and be excited to purchase from you.

Note: Verify that it's okay with the event organizer that you leave your booth to hand out samples. Some events allow it and others do not.

Create an Experience

When you create an experience for your audience, it makes it much easier to #IncreaseYourReach.  Bring strobe lights, music, fog machines - you name it. Whatever you can think of that is on-brand and can create an unforgettable experience for your audience is exactly what you need to do! They’ll leave your booth ready to tell others they come in contact with about you and your company.

Note: Make sure you take a look at any and all rules for the event that could potentially hinder you from bringing something to create your one-of-a-kind experience.
